Various reports prepared under TNUSSP Phase I are presented in this series of boxed sets under five themes: Scoping Studies; Enabling Environment: Governance, Capacity Building, Behaviour Change Communication and Knowledge Management; Baseline and Engineering Studies; Tiruchirappalli: Studies and Assessments; and Periyanaicken Palayam (PNP) and Narasimhanaicken Palayam (NNP), Coimbatore: Studies and Assessments.

PNP and NNP are two town panchayats chosen as demonstration ULBs by the Government of Tamil Nadu to demonstrate Fecal Sludge Management (FSM) as an economical and effective means to attain total sanitation and provide a basis for state-wide scaling up. There are 528 Town Panchayats in Tamil Nadu, and the Government of Tamil Nadu has decided to implement FSM as a standalone option for these towns. Various studies conducted to understand the state of sanitation in these two Town Panchayats are presented in this boxed set.
