Periyanaicken-Palayam (PNP) and Narasimhanaicken-Palayam (NNP) are two town panchayats that have been chosen to demonstrate FSM as an economical and effective means to attain total sanitation, and to provide a basis for state-wide scaling up to over 500 town panchayats in the state. These towns demonstrate that FSM can be standalone solution for small towns.
