Baseline study of these two towns were carried out through household surveys to understand their current status along the full sanitation chain.

A detailed plan was prepared for each town through a sanitation situation analysis that included sanitation and allied services (water supply, storm water drainage, and solid waste management). It led to the preparation of the city-wide plan, including financial investment planning to improve the current condition of clean water and sanitation in the towns.
