N. Manimekalai

N. Manimekalai is a professor and researcher and is currently the Dean, Faculty of Arts, Director and Head, Department of Women’s Studies at Bharathidasan University. Her research interests lie in empowerment of marginalised women. As a Research Partner with TNUSSP she is involved in conducting research on the ‘Sanitation Needs of Women at Workplaces’ with the integration of Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) in the full cycle of sanitation. Despite her hectic schedule in teaching and research she pursues her hobbies and mostly enjoys listening to music.
